10 steps (1 week trial): Recipe for a mental clean up…

Imagine you book an appointment to the most prominent healing doctor in town. Finally the day has arrived and you are in the waiting room. You see people entering their appointment sad and worried, but leaving at peace, serene and even with a smile on their face. You’re anxious, you are curious and you can’t wait to see this doctor that has a remedy to all your worries, sadness and anxieties. After all you have waited 2 years! This doctor found the cure to all mental suffering and you are ready to dive in into a better life.

What if I tell you I was that patient a few months ago. What if I tell you I met this doctor and my mind is clear, pure and at peace. What if I tell you I will share with you the remedy.

Sharing is caring. 🙂

Start with week 1. Follow these steps:

  • First day: Clean your soul – make your own ritual and purify your soul. Best time when the sun is rising or dusk. Go to the beach, river or lake.
  • For 7 Days: Clean your body – eat vegetables, fruits in season and a lot of water. There are tons of recipes online. Get creative! Avoid any type of sugar, salt, alcohol or fried foods.
  • For 7 days: Act accordingly – more kindness, more generosity, more love, more understanding and more helping others.
  • For 7 days (but really a process): Cut toxic people – although you can use all the above, you are no martyr. If someone triggers you, gets the best of you, sucks all your energy, doesn’t support or bring out the best in you cut them off. It will be hard, but it will be harder if you let them in your life.
  • For 7 days: Meditate – learn how to quiet your thoughts. Learn how to look at them like clouds just passing by and find a moment of pure present. I wrote about it here.
  • For 7 days: Be kind to yourself – give yourself encouragement! You are the only person who really knows you, you are your best friend. Be kind to you, love you, cherish you and end negative feedback from you to you.
  • For 7 days: Write in a notebook – write everyday anything that comes to your mind. Even if is the grocery list! Make a habit to de-clutter your mind into a paper.
  • For 4 days: Choose an exercise– keep up your body active, make the heart pump more blood into your veins, make the body strong and healthier.
  • For 1 or 2 days: Clean your house – eliminate dust, cluster, throw away things you don’t use, and organize all your items.
  • For 1 or 2 days: Retreat – one or 2 days a week retreat from society. Spend time alone or with your immediate ones. No cellphone, no emails, no social media, no computer. Go to a place where you can find solitude and peace. The cold air of the mountains, the smooth sounds of the beach, or the calming waters of a lake. Just go!

This remedy is very simple if you don’t read too much into it. Like all habits it takes time, but I suggest you start with week 1. Take some notes and see the difference in your body and mind. I assure you, you will come back to this list by week 2. Hopefully!

See you in the other side my friends!

xoxo,
Cristina
