How you see yourself in 10 years? Think well…
I’m kidding, no pressure, relax and breathe 🙂 I’m not a fan of that question because no matter how much time we take on planning our lives or imagining our future the less uncertain it could be.
No one knows how they see themselves in 10 years unless they are freaks that plan everything and go through life in an unspontaneous way. Also, that experiences don’t modify who they are at all- if you are like that then good luck and you don’t need to keep reading anymore 🙂 But… If you are similar to me who has no idea where I will be or how I will see myself in 10 years then the question above is irrelevant because one of the most real things in life is that… the future is uncertain.
You don’t know if you will be married or divorced (hope not), if you will have children or not, if you will lose someone you love, if you will land a better job, if you will be living in another city, or even cooler, another country. You don’t know.
How I know this? Well, from my experiences I learned to accept that half of the things that happen to us are things we can’t control. Those things can and will lead us to a new path where we can experience different emotions and where we can make different decisions.
For that reason only I know as a fact that the future can be and it is uncertain. I never in a million years thought moving from my country to NYC and now I’m making an even more “loco” decision: details coming soon. Did I plan all this? Yes, there’s a little planning involved and yes there’s that feeling in your gut called intuition that told me to do things in a certain way, but most of my decisions had been because I experienced things I couldn’t control and I started seeing life in a different shape.
So, stop planning so much, stop being too hard on yourself when things aren’t happening your way and let goooo…because there’s so much uncertainty in the world that ANYTHING can happen and where ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! You don’t know who will you meet tomorrow, or who will inspire you to change your life.
