Have a little faith…

For the past months I’ve had been really stress out with my professional and personal life and frankly I didn’t know what to do.  I knew the only thing I could do best was to never give up. Even if I was very confused thinking about my issues, I was sure I was going to do my best to manage the situations and smile more often, even if things weren’t well. I believed this was an essential part of growing up; accepting new challenges; and accepting the consequences of my decisions.

My family and friends were really good supporters in my situation and some of them told me, “Cristina, have a little more faith”- and I wonder, what is faith? Believing that something great is going to happen at the end of chaos? YES! – that’s faith!

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

For me faith consists in the belief of something. You can have faith in God, yourself and in others. I decided to have more faith in myself and work harder for what I wanted. For moments I play with the idea of giving up and then I resorted to believe more in others and seeing their potential to gain more strength. Then last week got harder and I decided to do a prayer to God and said, “God, I believe in you. Please take away this pain and grand me the serenity and peace I need. I trust you and have faith in you.”

I don’t know how to say this, but having more faith in me, others and God changed my life. My life has completely changed in the last week (yes, in 7 days). I gain more confidence, I saw things like they were, I forgave, I accepted the changes, I learned and I’m moving on to another phase in my life. I have no idea was going to happen next, but the stress is over. My personal and professional life changed and I’m happy because I feel this is a new opportunity to be even better.

Because of this personal experience, I can say that faith can move mountains and all that entails is that you open your heart and mind to believe more. You have to have faith that things will get better. If it work for me, can work for you too.

“If patience is worth anything, it must endure to the end of time. And a living faith will last in the midst of the blackest storm.” Gandhi

Have a good weekend! 🙂

xoxo,
Cristina
