Happiness is the way…

I found this beautiful happiness story that I want to share with you:

We convince ourselves that life will be better after age 18, after getting married, after getting a better job, after having a child and then having another one…

Then we are frustrated because our children are not big enough, and we think we will feel happy when they are. Then we complain because they are difficult teenagers, certainly we will feel happier when they’re out of that stage.

We decided that our life will be complete when our husband or wife do better, when we have a better car or a better house, when we go on vacation, when we retired.

The truth is there is no better time to be happy. If not now, when?

As one of the quotes from a famous writer say: “for a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin, real life. But was always some obstacle in the way, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to pay, then life would begin. Until I realized that these obstacles were my life.”

This perspective has helped us to see that there is no way to happiness: happiness is the way.

We must cherish every moment, much more when we share it with someone special, and remember that time waits for no one.

Do not wait until you finish school, until you return to school, to lose 10 pounds, to have children, until the children go to school, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until spring, summer, autumn or winter, or until you die to learn that there is no better time to be happy.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Work like you don’t need the money, love like you’ve never been hurt and dance like nobody’s watching.

Happy day!

xoxo,

Cristina
